Steelworks

PT. Galangan Balikpapan Utama has all the necessary resources for the production of steel constructions, cutting, assembly and welding of constructions is done in the shipbuilding workshop and yard. The welding is carried out under strict vigilance of QA, QC Processes and IACS classification rules as knowledge. Renewal, new installations and conversion are carried out by highly qualified and experienced team.

Blasting and Painting

Our in house contractors have acquired the most efficient blasting water jet and painting equipment in this field and can handle larger scale blasting jobs on time with the highest quality.

Propulsion

Our propulsion repair includes tail shaft, bearing, thrusters, rudder stock repair and propeller repair polishing and balancing static. Including work on stern tube, intermediate shaft and thrust block.

Electrical

The electricals shop is equipped with modern equipment and facilities. We can carry out all kinds of electricals and instrument repairs and installation such as:

• Main and emergency system of electrical power
• Overhauling/rewinding/rotor balancing of all types of AC/DC generators and motors
• Overhauling and installation of AC/DC swith gears
• Installation and repair of all kinds of cables, lighting and fixtures
• Installation General alarm system

Machinery

The engine shop is equipped with modern equipment and facilities. We can carry out all kinds of engine and fitting equipment repairs such as:

• Overhauling marine main engine & auxiliory machinery of all types
• Overhauling marine gear box, turbo charge & cooling system
• Marine engine seating, installation and alignment
